BoomTown Motocross

BoomTown Motocross is the club track of central Wyoming, a sand motocross layout on East Road in Casper run by the Boomtown Motocross Club and kept alive by members who each work one of the scheduled races. In a state with very few dedicated motocross facilities it is the one that Casper, Mills, Bar Nunn, Glenrock and Douglas riders call home, and it pulls riders up from Cheyenne and northern Colorado and down from Sheridan and Billings when the sand is prepped.

The sand is the draw. Deep, drainable sand builds cornering technique and bike control, and it handles the famously variable Wyoming weather better than hardpack. The season runs April 1 into November, weather permitting, and the gate only opens on scheduled days: Thursday and Friday from 4 PM to dark for members, Saturday 9 to 11 for members then noon to 5 for day-pass riders and members, and Sunday 9 to 5 for UTVs and enduro bikes. You do not have to be a member to ride. A day pass is $25 per rider, a single membership is $200 and a family of four at the same address is $300 for the 2026 season. Sign the annual or day-pass waiver online, pay through the club Venmo, then text Jason at 307-277-6019, Darrin at 307-751-4543 or Ben at 307-247-4052 for access. Ride without a signed and paid waiver and you are asked to leave once; the second time you are out for the season. Helmets are the minimum gear, the track is always treated as hot, and riders enter and exit only at the marked points, never on the finish-line jump. The club also hosts the HPMA / Tri-State combo round, an MX Factory school and benefit ride days through the summer.
