Known for hard-packed dirt, stadium-light night racing, and challenging elevation changes, it operated from the 1970s until it closed permanently in 2008 following the passing of its longtime owner and promoter, Tom Stoudt. The old grounds remain abandoned and overgrown alongside Interstate 79.
