RMRA Race Weekend

The Rocky Mountain Riders Association takes over Thunder Valley MX Park in Lakewood for an AMA-sanctioned race weekend, with racing Sunday, August 16 at 701 S Rooney Rd. Gate hours run Friday 4 to 10 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 5:30 AM. Saturday brings practice 10 AM to 2 PM ($30 per class, cash only) plus fun at the track with FCA Motocross. Race signups take cash or Venmo only: online signups close 9 PM Saturday, in-person runs Saturday 3 to 5 PM and Sunday 6 to 7 AM SHARP, and those closing times apply to transponder pickup too. Fees: $15 gate for ages 6 and up (5 and under free, cash only), $20 camping, $40 race entry for all classes, and $20 transponder rental. House rules: absolutely no pit riding (first gear to and from the line), no saving parking spots, and minors who signed up online must have a parent check in with office staff. Minors need an AMA minor release card on file for an annual RMRA membership, or both parents present to sign the temporary waiver. The track's own week runs Wednesday open at 10 AM (prepped and watered), Thursday open at 10 AM, and Friday closed for race prep. Complete the online waiver before you arrive to keep the gate line moving.
