What to expect
Bikes, quads and side-by-sides close the GP season. Switchback MX in Butler, Pennsylvania runs Race 8, the finale of its 2026 Grand Prix Series, on Sunday, October 11. Gates and registration open at 8 AM and riders report to staging 30 minutes before their race. The day runs by class group: side-by-sides at 9 (pro/payout and amateur), Open A through D bikes with Open Bike and Bomber at 10, quads at 11 (Open A, B, C, Collegeboy, Schoolboy, 30+, 40+, 50+, Utility, Women, Open D/Woodsman, Buddy), 85cc, Girls, 65cc and 50cc bikes at noon, Plus 25 through Plus 60, Women and Pit Bike at 1, quads on the modified track at 2, mini bikes on the modified track at 2:30, 250 A, B and C, Collegeboy, Schoolboy 1 and 2, Supermini and Buddy at 3, and youth quads at 4. All races begin in the start area with dead-engine starts except the minis.
Amateur classes are $35 each and payout classes $50, gate is $10, and transponders are $15 cash with a $100 refundable deposit or $20 by card. Pre-register at switchbackmx.com through the event pre-registration link. Series contingency from KTM, GasGas, Husqvarna, Yamaha, Triumph and Stark.
