What to expect.
The Southwick National returns to The Wick 338 in Southwick, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 11, 2026, a round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship and one of the most distinctive stops on the circuit. Southwick is the sand national. The deep, rough New England sand chews up arms and equipment, rewards a completely different technique than the hard-pack rounds, and has a long history of producing sand specialists and surprise results.
The roots run deep here. The first Southwick race was held in 1972 and the first National in 1976, and the 2026 race is the track's 45th National. The winners list reads like a hall of fame: Eli Tomac, Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin, Cooper Webb, Dylan Ferrandis, Hunter Lawrence, and Adam Cianciarulo have all stood on the Southwick podium.
Gates open at 7:00 AM on race day, with both the 450 and 250 pro classes running their motos through the afternoon. Tickets are available online in advance or at the gate starting at 7:00 AM, and the track has said the National will not sell out. One planning note that catches people out: there is no overnight camping at the track for the National, so plan to day-trip it or line up lodging in the Southwick area ahead of time.
Tickets come in two types, General Admission (adult and kids) and VIP, and are mobile or print-at-home only, nothing is mailed. Buy only through the event's official TicketSpice page: the Southwick National does not honor tickets from resellers or secondary sites like GoTickets or Vivid, and anyone holding one is turned away at the gate.
The 2026 edition runs under the Crestview Construction banner and lands mid-season in what is shaping up as one of the championship's best title fights. Southwick's bottomless sand whoops, sweeping berms, and brutal rhythm sections are the series' great equalizer, and the field stacks Haiden Deegan against Jett Lawrence with Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton, Hunter Lawrence, Justin Cooper, and Aaron Plessinger all on the gate.
Know before you go: every ticket is delivered digitally and cell service at the property is spotty, so download yours before you arrive. Parking is $20 per vehicle on Saturday at all lots, with proceeds going to the local schools and rec department. Coolers and backpack coolers are welcome, no glass bottles. Pit vehicles, bicycles, dogs, drones, fireworks, elevated platforms, and household furniture are all prohibited, and tents or awnings must sit at least 40 feet back from the track.
