What to expect
The RedBud Pro Motocross National at RedBud MX in Buchanan, the centerpiece round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship and the largest-attended motocross race in the United States, held every Fourth of July weekend in the rolling hills of southwest Michigan.
The event runs July 1 to 5, with camping and amateur racing all week leading into the pro race on Saturday, July 4. Amateur racing fills the week: pro-track practice Thursday, full-pro-course racing Friday, night-track racing Friday and Saturday for 50cc riders and up, and pro-track racing Sunday. Saturday is the main event, with early practice from 8am, the 450 and 250 pro motos, amateur night racing, and fireworks after dark. A Saturday ticket covers parking, the pro national, night racing, and the fireworks. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday tickets are good through Sunday; arrive Saturday and camp overnight and you will need a Saturday/Sunday ticket. Camping, VIP, and pit passes (pro pits 9am to 12pm Saturday) are available. General admission is always available at the gate and does not sell out, with Saturday GA at $80 at the track.
