What to expect

Freestone fills in for Splendora. Round 2 of the 2026 NMA Texas State Championship, the south region round, moves to Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and registration is open now through Trackside. Saturday, October 3 is a practice day at $40. Race entry is $45 per class, with Open Pro Sport at $65, and online registration closes Sunday at 9:00 AM. Gate fees and race-day times have not been posted yet, so check the Freestone Facebook page before you haul. Minors: Freestone has new requirements for BOTH parents signing the registration documents, plus guardianship forms, so read the Minors tab on the Freestone site before you come. 12 classes get paid top five overall ($375, $225, $175, $125 and $100 at the end of the series), with long motos, real championship trophies, an awards banquet and a payout for amateurs. The two largest unsponsored classes in the series get a top five payout as well. Every round scores standard points, the North/South Shootout at Cycle Ranch pays double, and the finale pays triple. Riders need any 4 of the 7 rounds to be eligible for top five awards and payout, and the finale is back here at Freestone on December 12 and 13.
