What to expect
Good times on a dirty track, take two. The Muddy Waters MX Grand Prix runs Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Muddy Waters MX in Port Byron, Illinois, the makeup date for the September 6 GP that got postponed. Gates open Friday from 4 to 9 PM with camping Friday and Saturday night, then Saturday gates open at 7 AM, riders meeting at 9:15, practice at 9:30 and racing immediately after practice. The 50s and the 65 beginners use the kids track with their own course.
Race fee is $40 per class with no pre-entry for this event, so sign up at the track. Spectator gate is $20 Friday and $15 Saturday, kids under 5 free. Heads up for the weekend warriors: Tri-City Motorcycle Club races motocross on Sunday about 10 miles away and WFO Promotions runs a hare scramble 5 miles away, so you can race the GP here Saturday and either one on Sunday.
