What to expect
Last CRA motocross of the year at Lightning. The Competition Riders of America (CRA) brings a Sunoco Series motocross round to Lightning Raceway in Tippecanoe, Ohio on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Gates and sign-up open at 7 AM, practice at 9 and racing at 10:30, and the series asks that you be signed up a half hour before your start. The 2026 CRA schedule lists a $15 gate, $30 sign-up per class, $25 series membership and $10 transponder rental if you need one. Lightning guarantees every race-day entry a top-10 place.
The 163-acre property normally runs $10 open riding every day, but the track closes to open riding on race days and often the week before a big event. Primitive camping is included and firewood is free if you bring a saw. Motocross questions go to the CRA track contact at 330-465-8269; the track itself is 740-229-1313.
