What to expect.

The Heartland MX Championship Series runs its rescheduled Round 2 as a night race at GAS MX (Great American Speed) in Watts, Oklahoma, on Saturday, July 18. There is a food truck on site, plus contingencies, hole shot awards, and series giveaways. Gates open Friday at 3pm for camping and move-in, then Saturday at 8am. Saturday practice is open to the public from 9am to 2pm ($20 for 50cc beginners and P-Dubs, $30 per class for everyone else). Racer registration starts at 2pm, race practice fires at 5pm, and Round 2 racing follows under the lights. Race fees: STACYC races at intermission are $20 for one moto, P-Dub and 50cc beginner races are $30 per class, and all other classes are $45 per class. Gate fee is $15 per person, kids 4 and under free, with a $20 Friday-to-Saturday camping wristband. Expert payouts are stacked: 250 and 450 Expert pay 100% plus $300 to the top three riders, and the +25 and +30 classes pay five deep ($100 / $75 / $60 / $50 / $40).
