What to expect
The Smalltown Showdown opens at Hangtime MX Park on Friday, September 4, a six round holiday weekend that runs Friday through Monday.
Round 1 practices at 6 PM with racing immediately after. One round of practice only. Registration is open 3 PM to 6 PM and the Finish Line Cafe opens at 3 PM.
Gates open Thursday, September 3 from 5 PM to 10 PM for camping.
Smalltown Showdown gate hours: Thursday 5 PM to 10 PM for camping, then Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 or 8 AM until 10 PM or an hour after the last moto.
All six Smalltown Showdown events pay Triumph contingency, $150, $100 and $50 for the top three.
Minor riders need permission from BOTH parents on the Reads minor rider forms, so sort that before you travel.
Gate admission is $8 per person per day, CASH ONLY. Entry is $35 per class in cash or $37 by card, and Reads members pay $30 cash or $32 card. The Reads membership is a discount card rather than a club, and it is not required: $45 a year cash or $47 by card, saving $5 on every entry including organized practices.
A RaceReady RFID transponder is required for competition events. They are $10 cash at registration and last a year, and a valid transponder from another venue works. You MUST set up your own account at iraceready.com before you reach registration, because they will not create it for you.
