Arkansas State Championship Series: Round 4

Round 4 of the Arkansas State Championship Series lands at GAS MX on Saturday, August 29, and it is a Saturday night race. This round was postponed earlier in the season for weather and August 29 is the rescheduled date. Running order: gates open Friday at 3 PM for camping and move-in. Saturday gates open at 8 AM, with practice open to the public from 9 AM to 2 PM. Registration for racers starts at 2 PM. The track then shuts down for a re-prep, a two lap practice goes off at 5 PM, and racing follows under the lights. Entry is $10 at the gate, $30 to practice, $40 for a race entry and $45 for a pro entry. There is money on the line in two classes. The Pro class pays 100 percent payback and the Open Outlaw class pays 50 percent, both distributed to the top third of the class and split 60 percent to first, 30 percent to second and 10 percent to third where applicable. One thing worth knowing before you plug the address in: GAS MX is over the line in Watts, Oklahoma, a few minutes from Siloam Springs, and it is one of the host venues on the Arkansas series rather than an Arkansas track. The series rules and full class list are at ascsmx.com.
