What to expect
Round 3 drops into South Texas. The 28th annual FMF Texas Winter Series visits Cycle Ranch Motocross Park in Floresville, Texas on January 22 through 24, 2027, the series' lone stop south of San Antonio. Friday is practice on the national track, then Saturday and Sunday carry the Winter Series moto program, with Cycle Ranch's cafe, pro shop, RV hookups and cabins making it an easy full weekend. Race entry opens through cycleranchmx.com.
The 28th annual FMF Texas Winter Series is the biggest and longest-running amateur motocross series in Texas, sanctioned by the NMA, and it has been the winter proving ground for riders from Cooper Webb and Justin Barcia to Jett and Hunter Lawrence. Every round gets Friday practice unless otherwise posted; the Friday practice fee can be added when you register online, but you still check in at the tower for your practice sticker before entering the track.
The full 2027 schedule: Round 1 at Freestone (January 1-3), Round 2 at Underground MX Park (January 8-10), Round 3 at Cycle Ranch (January 22-24), Round 4 at a venue to be announced (February 5-7) and the Round 5 finale back at Freestone (February 12-14). Rain dates are January 16-17, January 30-31 and February 20-21. The class structure, points scale and series results live on the Texas Winter Series page at freestonemx.com. Riders in the RMATV RaceGas program need a correct physical address and email on the entry form to get their credit.
Minors attending without a parent need a release signed by both parents and notarized, plus a notarized statement naming the adult who can sign for them. Present both at registration.
