FMF Texas Winter Series Rd 1: Friday Practice & Night Race
Race at Freestone County Raceway · Wortham, TX
What to expect
Night race under the lights. The 28th annual FMF Texas Winter Series opens here. Friday starts with motocross practice, then racing moves under the lights on the new amateur supercross track for the first-ever Winter Series Friday night race. The format is short and simple: a heat race sets gate pick and a main event decides the overall, on a short night-race class structure. The 28th annual New Year's fireworks show caps the night.
Friday practice can be added when you register online, but you still check in at the tower for your practice sticker before entering the track. Saturday and Sunday run the full Winter Series program on the national track.
Round 1 of the 28th annual FMF Texas Winter Series runs January 1 through 3 at Freestone, and the series continues at Underground MX Park (January 8-10), Cycle Ranch (January 22-24), a round to be announced (February 5-7), and back at Freestone for the finale (February 12-14). Rain dates are January 16-17, January 30-31, and February 20-21. Register online through freestonemx.com, where the class structure and weekend schedule will be posted. Riders in the RMATV RaceGas program need a correct physical address and email on the entry form to get their credit.
Minors attending without a parent need a release signed by both parents and notarized, plus a notarized statement naming the adult who can sign for them. Present both at registration.
