What to expect
Registration is live for the 35th running. The Texas Pro Challenge at Swan MX in Tyler is the track's marquee weekend, September 24 through 27, 2026: pro motos, the Lone Star Series Round 6 amateur program, a night race, a whip contest, autographs, and a band. Gates lock nightly at 11 PM and wristbands stay on all weekend.
Thursday, September 24: gates 3 PM to 11 PM for arrivals. Friday, September 25: gates 6:30 AM, rider check-in 7 AM, organized practice 9 AM to 3 PM, E-balance Orion and Stacyc races at 4 PM, night sight laps at 5 PM, then the Friday night Lone Star Series Round 6 races under the lights.
Saturday, September 26 (Moto 1): gates and check-in 6:30 AM, mandatory riders meeting 7:30 AM, sight laps 8 AM, Herocross first, then Lone Star racing. 250 Pro and 450 Open Pro practice 11 to 11:30 AM, 250 Pro moto at 1 PM (20 minutes plus 2 laps), 450 Open Pro Sport moto at 3 PM (20 minutes plus 2 laps), racing continues to finish Moto 1, autographs with the pros at 4 PM, whip contest with cash after the races, and a band at 7 PM. No gate refunds after 5:30 PM Saturday.
Sunday, September 27 (Moto 2): sight laps 8 AM, Lone Star racing, pro practice 11 to 11:30, 250 Pro at 1 PM, 450 Open Pro Sport at 3 PM, then racing to finish Moto 2.
Gate is $45 a person for a weekend pass (paid in full at the gate; refunds only Friday and Saturday before 5:30 PM if you are not staying the whole weekend, with your bracelet and the gate receipt), $30 a day Saturday or Sunday, or $15 for Sunday only, under 5 free. Dry camping or trailer drop-off is $25 a night and pit vehicles are $20 for the weekend. Pre-register through Trackside.
Herocross: Saturday's first race of the day is Herocross, with free race entry for all first responders and those currently serving. Get there early and cheer them on.
Whip contest: the whip contest is back on Saturday, September 26, sponsored by Turn One Powersports, and it goes off after the first motos are done. It pays $1,000 for first, $600 for second and $400 for third.
