What to expect
The 16th Annual Two Stroke Shootout at Sleepy Hollow Motocross Park in Fredricksburg, Saturday, September 19, with a $10,000 purse. Saturday is two stroke only racing.
Sign up runs 7 to 9 AM with practice at 9 AM. A holeshot challenge follows the motos and you must be on a two stroke to enter. Best sound is judged during intermission, and there is a 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets and prop bets through the day.
The purse splits across two classes. The 125 Allstar class pays $5,000: 122 to 144cc, open to A and B riders, though the money only applies to the A class. The 250 Pro EX class pays $5,000 and is 122cc and up.
Each money class pays $2,500 per moto through 10th place: $700, $450, $325, $250, $200, $175, $150, $100, $85 and $65. On top of that, the overall finish pays $150, $100 and $75 to the top three. The 125 Allstar is open to A and B riders, and the 250 Pro EX is A only.
The full class list runs from the 50cc classes (4-8 Oil, 4-8 Open, and 4-6 and 7-8 Stock) through 65s, 85s, Jr Mini, Supermini, Schoolboy, Collegeboy, Girls 9-13 and Women 14+, then 125 and 250 B and C, Vet A, B and C, 25+ through 60+, the Pre 80, Pre 99 and Y2K (2000 to 2009) vintage classes, and a Warrior class for all active and past military.
Amateur classes are $40. The 125 Allstar and 250 Pro EX are $80. You must have a valid AMA card to race.
The facility is CASH ONLY. Gates open Thursday at 4 PM. Free dry camping runs Thursday through Sunday, though there are no bathhouses on site. Water for fill is available just inside the entrance on the right. Pit passes are $20 and you must be 16 or older to operate a pit vehicle: if it has a throttle, it counts as one. Transponders will be used: rental is $20 cash, with a credit card required for the deposit.
Gate fees depend on the day you arrive. Racers and spectators 12 and up pay $30 arriving Thursday, $25 Friday, or $20 Saturday or Sunday. Spectators 6 to 11 are $10 any day, and 5 and under are free.
