What to expect

The Civil War is back. The WV State Championship Civil War and the Tyler Condon Pro Am run October 16 to 18, 2026 at Tomahawk MX Park in Hedgesville, West Virginia, with three series joining in: PAMX, AMA District 13 and the Middle Atlantic Motocross Association (MAMA). Friday, October 16 is practice from 10 AM to 4 PM, split by group. Saturday, October 17 starts with the riders meeting at 8 AM and a three lap practice right after, then moto one for every class plus the Tyler Condon Pro Am, which runs Saturday only. Sunday, October 18 opens with a sight lap at 8:30 AM, then moto two. Trophies go one to every three riders, class winners earn AMA number one plates, and the 250 and 450 Pro Am classes carry a big payout. Gates open Thursday, October 15 at 4 PM and do not close all weekend. Admission is $25 per person if you arrive Thursday and $20 per person from Friday on, and kids 5 and under who are not riding are free. Do not remove your wristband or you will be charged again. Friday practice is $40 per class online or $45 in person, race classes are $40 online or $45 in person, and the Pro Am classes are $100. A pit vehicle pass is $25 and drivers must be 16 or older. Pre-registration for Friday practice and racing stays open through Trackside until 6 AM on Friday, October 16, and Friday practice stickers are picked up at the garage. In-person registration is at the garage, Friday 8 AM to 3 PM and Saturday 6:30 AM to 8 AM. Bring your AMA card, your AMA minor release card and your transponder. An AMA membership is required to enter, but you do not need to be a member of any of the three series. Transponders can be rented from the Time N Score trailer during registration, and live timing is at resultsmx.com/timenscore/live.aspx. Friday practice order: A/B, 85cc and Girls, 50cc full track (50cc Open, 50cc 7-8, Electric), C, 65cc, Vet, Supermini, 125 and Women, then 50 half track (50cc 4-6, 50cc Shaft, 50 Oil, EE2). Need an electric and water hookup? Hookup spots run Thursday through Sunday and are reserved through Trackside on the Tomahawk RV reservation page. The 50 amp spots are sold out, and the remaining 30 amp spots (12 feet wide, best for 30 foot trailers and smaller campers) are $200 for the event. There are no refunds, and sharing water with other campers is not allowed. Camper pumping times are still to be announced. Good to know: announcements are on 90.3 FM, the bath house is open 7 AM to 10 PM, there is no WiFi, a food truck and vendors are on site with live music Saturday night, with Burger King, Subway, China Star, King's Pizza and Philly Cheesesteak Plus nearby in Hedgesville. Pit vehicles are for transport only. No free riding, no Surrons or Stacycs, and breaking the rules can get you disqualified or asked to leave. Coming in off I-81, avoid exit 14 unless you want to climb a mountain with your rig. All riders under 18 need Tomahawk's fully completed annual minor release form, printed double-sided in color ink, and signed and notarized in advance if both parents will not be present at sign-in.
