What to expect
Practice, pit bikes, pumpkins and a $1,000 two-stroke race. Winchester Speedpark in Winchester, New Hampshire opens its annual Halloween Weekend with Fun Day on Saturday, October 10, 2026, ahead of the final race of the season on Sunday. The gate opens Friday at 1 PM (not before, there is no gate person earlier) through 10 PM to avoid a backup on Route 10, then Saturday 6 AM to 10 PM. Park awning to awning, do not save spots, arrive together if you want to park together, and do not block the Winchester Motorsports driveway.
Open MX practice runs 9 AM to 1 PM in 10-minute rounds, $30, or $25 for non-race bikes on the cut track, in this order: 50cc and 65cc, Novice, Vet, 50cc non-race bikes on the cut track, 85cc and Supermini, then AM and EX (girls ride with their bike-size class, women with their skill class). Stacyc racing on the pump bike track starts at 1 PM, one moto at $5 entry, 12-inch six laps, 16-inch eight laps and 18-to-20-inch eight laps, with top-five awards and medals from sixth place up, sponsored by JMS Tree Service and Spektrum Pressure Washing; Stacyc riders must be signed up by 12:30 PM. Big-track fun racing starts at 1:30 with transponders required: the 2-Stroke Open 125-plus runs two six-lap motos at $40 entry with a 100 percent payout to the top five plus $1,000 from WSP split $500, $300 and $200 across the top three, then one-moto, three-lap pit bike races (four-stroke, max 14-inch front and 12-inch rear) at $15 entry in 11 and under, 12 to 17 and 18-plus with trophies to fifth. Right after the full-track motos come the pit bike relays on the cut track at $20 per team member, a two-person relay (six laps, three each) and a Mom and Dad relay (four laps, two each), both with a costume-swap handoff between riders and a plaque for every team member. Relay teams sign up together at the track; everything else must be signed up by 1 PM Saturday.
Off-track contests pay real prizes: trophies for the top three plus a 2027 WSP/NEMX membership for first, a 2027 race entry and gate entry for second and two 2027 gate entries for third. Pumpkin carving signs up at 4:30 with judging at 5; chili, BBQ and Halloween dessert entries sign up at 5 with judging at 5:30, and the desserts get shared afterward. TJ Pop Kettlecorn is under the pavilion 3 to 8:30, the trick-or-treat costume parade loops pit road at 6:15 (candy handed out at the road in front of each pit), the bonfire lights at the pavilion at 7:30 and Saturday wraps at 9:45 PM.
Gate is $20 for adults and racers, free for non-racers 4 and under, $10 for seniors 65-plus and Winchester residents, and non-member mechanics pay $5 (one per rider, 18 and over). Sign-up and pre-registration check-in run Friday 2 to 8 PM and Saturday 7 AM to 1 PM; pre-register for Saturday through its own Trackside link, which closes Friday, October 9 at 9 AM (Sunday has a separate link). Every minor needs a minor release signed by the minor and one parent at the entrance gate, racers and non-racers alike, with forms only at the track; minors without a parent need a notarized guardianship form. No pit riding except office-registered golf carts driven by someone 21 or older, fires in pits only, Stacycs at walking speed in the pits, and take your trash with you.
E-bike and pit rules for the weekend: e-bikes are allowed but every one must be registered at the office before it touches a pit road. Non-pedal-assist e-bikes need a rider 16 or older with a valid driver's license; pedal-assist e-bikes register with a parent present; both get a wristband. No e-bikes on any track except Stacycs on the pump track, and Stacyc riders must go slow on the roads where cars and water trucks cannot see them. Any bike without a headlight, electric or not, gets put away at dark. No double riding, no pit riding, and race bikes go to and from the moto in first gear at walking speed. Break the rules and e-bike privileges go for the weekend, or you may be asked to leave.
