What to expect
The final race weekend of the year at Valley MX starts with a Halloween party. Saturday, October 24, 2026 is the AMA District 14 Michigan MX Tire Mafia Series race at Valley Motocross in Stanton, Michigan, bikes only, the day before the Michigan State Championship. Sign-up runs from 7 AM until practice starts; mini track practice is at 8:30 (mini track racers meet at the mini starting gate at 8:30 for the riders meeting, so park, sign up early and get back fast), big track practice is at 9 and racing follows.
The Halloween side kicks in around 3 PM with pumpkin painting, then after racing around 6: a rider appreciation pizza party, a costume contest in four age groups (0 to 5, 6 to 11, 12 to 17 and 18 plus), trick-or-treating at dark and a best decorated pits contest with the award handed out Sunday.
Everything is cash only; the track does not take cards. Gates open Thursday, October 22 from 4 to 10 PM for early-bird camping ($30 per person) and Friday from 10 AM to midnight ($25), with no Friday practice and pre-sign-up Friday from 7 to 8 PM. Saturday gates are 7 AM to midnight ($20) and Sunday 7 AM ($10). Gate fees apply to everyone 10 and up and to all racers, non-racers 9 and under are free, and you pay for the rest of the weekend on arrival, with a partial refund if you leave by 10 PM the next night and still have your wristband. AMA and D14 memberships are required and sold at sign-up. Every big-track rider needs a MyLaps transponder before signing up (one per racer, no sharing; youth on the 50 track do not need one), scoring is by MMXT, there are no refunds once practice starts, and awards must be picked up the day of the event. Two water fill stations are on site, quiet time is 10 PM with loud generators off, and pit vehicle rules are online.
