What to expect
The final round of the Indiana State Championship Series at Trojan MX on Sunday, September 27.
Practice is at 9 AM with racing immediately after, one round of practice only, and registration is open 7 AM to 9 AM.
Pre-registration is open through iRaceReady and closes Wednesday, September 23 at 8 AM. Everyone who pre-registers for Sunday goes into a drawing for Fly Racing bucks redeemable at Werks Powersports in Fort Wayne, drawn Sunday at intermission (the flier and the track's posts say $250, the Reads Racing event page says $300). Pre-registered riders can also check in for Sunday on Saturday. The promoter expects a bigger turnout and long registration lines, and pre-registered riders get their own separate line on Sunday morning. Reads members still get their discount when pre-registering: message Reads Racing on Facebook for a member code.
This is the round that settles the series. A rider has to compete in all five rounds to be eligible for an overall award, riders drop their worst moto, and overalls come off a rider's best nine finishes in a nine moto format. If it comes down to a tie, the last moto of this round is the tie breaker. Awards go to the top three overall at the Reads Racing annual banquet.
Triumph contingency pays at all five rounds, $150, $100 and $75 for the top three, and Dragon Racing Fuels pays contingency to racers running their fuel, bought trackside from Werks Powersports.
The series is not AMA sanctioned, though every track and promoter in it is an AMA chartered organisation, and it follows AMA rules except where it states otherwise. Race in your correct A, B or C classification.
Saturday, September 26 runs day and night race programs before this one.
Gates open Friday 5 PM to 10 PM, Saturday 7 AM to 10 PM or an hour after the last moto, and Sunday from 7 AM. Friday is camping only with no events, and you have to buy a gate pass on the Friday for either Saturday or the full weekend. Parking will be very tight this weekend, so arrive early and watch the Trojan MX Facebook page for parking instructions. Camping Friday and Saturday nights is free, but campers must buy an armband for the following day. Water fill is available on site (no 250 gallon containers or large pools), quads and bikes are both welcome, and Reads Sanitation will pump RV septic tanks on the way out Sunday, or Friday 5 to 8 PM on request at the registration trailer. Pit vehicles (pit bikes, golf carts, UTVs, e-bikes) are for ages 18 and up only; riders 17 and under may use a pedal bicycle with 18 inch or larger tires, and strider and balance bikes are not allowed anywhere on the property.
Gate admission is $8 per person per day, CASH ONLY. Entry is $35 per class in cash or $37 by card, and Reads members pay $30 cash or $32 card. The Reads membership is a discount card rather than a club, and it is not required: $45 a year cash or $47 by card, saving $5 on every entry including organized practices.
A RaceReady RFID transponder is required for competition events. They are $10 cash at registration and last a year, and a valid transponder from another venue works. You MUST set up your own account at iraceready.com before you reach registration, because they will not create it for you.
The track is off State Road 13 at mile marker 99, about four miles north of US 30, south of North Webster and north of Pierceton. Entering Trojan MX into your GPS works.
2026 AMA RULE, CHEST AND BACK PROTECTION. The series runs under AMA rules, and from January 1 2026 chest and back protection is mandatory for competitors. It can go under or over the jersey, but it has to cover the sternum, the anterior ribs, the posterior ribs and the spine from T1 to T12. Riders without proper protection are NOT permitted on track, so check your gear before you travel.
