Throwdown at Sundown: Make Moto Great Again Series Finale

The funnest race of the year, and the series finale. The Throwdown at Sundown runs Friday to Sunday, October 2 to 4, 2026 at Tigerton MX in Tigerton, Wisconsin, closing the first season of the Make Moto Great Again Series with double points. Saturday is the show: open practice from 10 to 3, then the Annual Marty Leum Toy Dirt Bike Track Building World Championships at 2 (three-man teams, bring shovels, rakes and toys), and as the sun goes down the FroSho Stuntacular stunt show from Jbeez at 4:30 followed by pit bike racing, straight rhythm, a tandem race, moped racing and the best whip contest. Sunday is real racing: AMA District 16 competition on the outdoor track with GasGas, KTM and Kawasaki contingency, the last day to earn Make Moto Great Again points, doubled. Points leaders pick up their leader bib at registration and round winners their kill stickers. Friday gates open at 3 PM with pit bike races and Saturday practice registration from 5 to 7 and gates closing at midnight. Saturday gates open at 7, practice registration at 8, race registration for Sunday from 1 to 4. Sunday gates open at 6:30, registration runs 6:30 to 8, riders meeting at 7:45 with practice to follow. Racing is $35 per class and Friday practice $35 per group for one track. Admission is cash only, $30 for the weekend from Friday, $20 from Saturday or $10 Sunday, half price for non-racing kids 6 to 11, and racers pay full admission with no refunds for leaving early. Camping is $10 a night on the track grounds with indoor showers, $1 water fills and a $5 RV dump, or $20 a night in the neighboring OHV park. Everyone attending signs the digital waiver ahead of time or pays $5 at the gate; Wisconsin riders need a District 16 card, all racers an AMA card, and minors need both parents or an AMA annual release. The entrance is on Koneheiser Ct. The track's site lists Saturday practice as 9 to 1; its September post says 10 to 3, so confirm on the Tigerton MX Facebook page.
