The Summer Ride: Off-Road Trail Ride

Loretta Lynn's Ranch hosts The Summer Ride 2026, an off-road trail ride weekend in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee from July 9 to 12, 2026. Organized by the Ranch with help from MTDR, this vacation-style event brings dirt bike and ATV riders from across the country to rural Middle Tennessee for four days of trail riding, camping, and family fun. The riding is the heart of it, with miles of marked trail for every skill level. The main trail runs over 10 miles, climbing the rolling hills, sweeping through tall timber, and dropping into the low valleys. More experienced riders can test themselves on the single track: tighter, more technical, full of hills, off-camber sections, and roots. First-timers are covered too, with a dedicated Beginner loop for riders brand new to the woods and a Novice loop to ease into trail riding. Off the bike, the weekend is a full festival: campfires, a swimming pool, the creek, field games, vendors, live music, and prize giveaways, with plenty of room to make new riding friends. As one of the largest campgrounds in Middle Tennessee, the 3,000-plus acres of wooded, hilly terrain has space for tent camping and RV sites, from 30-amp water and electric up to 50-amp full hookups (first come, first served, so arrive early for the best spot). Event admission and camping are ticketed separately, and both are required if you plan to camp. Between rides you can explore Western Town, the Ranch's tribute to Loretta Lynn, with a replica of her Butcher Holler childhood home, the mansion on the hill, the historic Hurricane Mills Grist Mill, and the 18,000-square-foot Coal Miner's Daughter Museum.
