What to expect
Test and tune before Ponca. The Spot MX Park in Hitchcock, Oklahoma runs a Ponca Prep Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 27, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM both days, for riders headed to the MotoPlayground race at Ponca City MX the following week. The track gets a deep prep both days so you can get comfortable in the red Oklahoma clay and dial in the bikes before the deep, long ruts Ponca is known for.
Riding is $35 per rider per day, and camping is free, so the pitch is simple: The Spot is less than two hours from Ponca City, camp here and get in the pre-staging line at Ponca early. Rainout and schedule updates post on The Spot MX Park's Facebook and Instagram (@the_spot_mx_park).
