What to expect
Run what you brung. The Sawdust Pit Showdown closes out the 2026 season at North Star Motorsports in Ashland, Maine on Saturday, October 3, the finale of the Sawdust Pit MX Championship Series on America's only all-sawdust racing surface. Motocross, ATVs, side by sides and snowmobiles all race, and the track says if there is anything else you have always wanted to take a lap on, bring it.
Registration is 7 AM to 8:30 AM and racing starts at 10 AM. The MX pro purse is $2,000 and the snowsled class pays $500 to win. Gate admission is $10, with kids 5 and under free. Food vendors including Smokey D's BBQ and Roadside Fries are in the pits.
Online pre-registration is coming, and the track says it will post the link soon, so watch the North Star Motorsports Facebook page. The pit is one to two miles north of Ashland on Route 11.
