What to expect
Laps on the day track before Sunday's race. River Valley MX in Boyd, Texas runs organized practice on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 10 AM to 2 PM, with gates open 8 AM to 9 PM, ahead of its one and only day race of the year, NMA Texas State Championship Round 3 on Sunday. Online registration through Trackside is required to practice, so sign up before you load up. Friday gates are open 6 to 9 PM for early arrivals. No memberships required, ever.
Practice order: Big Bike Beginner/Novice (25 and up), Big Bike Intermediate/Expert/Pro, 85cc, Big Bike Beginner/Novice (under 24), 65cc, 50cc, then Mini E and 50cc air-cooled. Have your Trackside email confirmation ready before you get in line at the tower; it is a packed weekend and the line only moves if everyone is prepared. Minor riders need waivers completed online by both parents.
