MX207 opens its Fall Series on Saturday, August 8 in Lyman. A Maine Motocross or NEMX membership is required to race (no one-day riders; memberships at mainemotocross.com). Gates open Friday 11 AM to 10 PM and reopen Saturday at 6; admission is $20 per person, and arrivals before 11 Friday pay a $50 early-arrival fee. Friday warms up with open practice 1 to 6 PM, then the mini track opens for 50s from 6:30 to 8 ($20, or $10 off if your child rode the afternoon session; sign up at the front office). Race sign-up opens ONLINE Wednesday at 8 PM, and first-moto gate picks go in order of sign-up, so signing up early earns a better gate; you must still check in at the front office (Friday 6:30-8 PM or Saturday 6:45-8:30 AM) to complete it. Entries are $40 for the first two classes and $20 each additional, with 100 percent payback in 250A, 450A, and 40+ A. Practice starts at 9 in six groups (C, 85s, 50s, B, 65s, A), then the 18-class race order runs twice, from Open C through 50+/Women. This weekend also debuts the Peewee Beginner class, a single-moto format run at the halfway point of the day for kids getting their feet wet who are not quite ready for the next step.
