Bartosek Memorial Race (Outlaw Series MX)

The Bartosek Memorial Race brings big money, a big night, and a big legacy to Pymatuning Holeshot Raceway: a $30,000 total pro purse paying seven places in every moto, raced under the lights in memory of Jimmy Bartosek and benefiting the Live To Ride fund for rider safety. The pro money breaks down to $7,000 per moto in Open A ($14,000 total), $2,000 per moto in 250 A and Pro Sport ($4,000 each), and $4,000 per moto in Pro Quad ($8,000 total). Saturday runs the AMA Outlaw Series amateur bike and quad day show from 11 AM, then pro racing under the lights, with a 6 PM benefit dinner, a freestyle MX show, and an autograph session with the pros. Friday, August 7 offers MX practice 4 to 9 PM ($40), Saturday gate admission is $40, and camping is available all weekend for $40 a spot. Info at pymaraceway.com.
