What to expect

Small bikes, big Halloween energy. HDMX (HighDesert MX) and Balance Rock Mini Moto in Helper, Utah run the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Run pit bike and e-moto race on October 30 and 31, 2026, on a brand new track layout. Friday is practice from 10 AM. Saturday racing starts at 10 AM in a two-moto format for every class, followed by the pumpkin race, the costume contest and a trunk or treat from 3 PM that is open to the public, with more trunks welcome. Classes: Stacyc, Stock 110, Stock Mod 110, Limited 110, Playbike, Limited Playbike, 12kV Max E-Moto, 16kV Max E-Moto, Open E-Moto, Womens, Youth 3-8 and Youth 9-14, and the organizers may add classes depending on turnout. Entry is $25 per class and $20 for each additional class, $20 for youth and Stacyc, with a $5 entry wristband for everyone. Payouts go to the pumpkin race and the two largest classes, and there are prizes for the costume contest, a random draw and a giveaway. The pumpkin race is all or nothing: two riders, one bike, one pumpkin, $15 per team. One rider holds the bike on the gate while the other runs to the first turn, grabs a pumpkin and runs it back; only when both riders and the pumpkin are on the bike do your two laps start, and if anyone or the pumpkin falls off, the bike stops until everything is back aboard. Winner takes the payout, and there are two rounds of it, so two chances at the money. The track is at 378 N Main St in Helper.
