The AMA District 14 Michigan State Championship weekend takes over Log Road Motocross on August 8 and 9. Saturday runs the Michigan Mafia Series and the District 14 Veteran MX Warrior Series; Sunday crowns the Giant Roofing/SC3 Michigan State Championship alongside the D14 Women's Crown Series. Gates open Friday from 5 to 11 PM for the weekend, then 6 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Gate fees are $30 for Friday night and Saturday, $15 for Sunday only. Both race days follow the same rhythm: sign-up opens at 7 AM, practice starts at 8, and racing follows as soon as practice concludes. Online sign-up is open now through Trackside pre-registration. Minor riders need both parents to sign or an AMA annual minor release; signing up in person requires both parents present, a notarized slip, or the annual release. Saturday closes with post-race family fun: an all-ages Water Truck Tug-of-War and the return of the Rad Dad and Mad Mom Relay, a foot race on a shortened 50 track where dads run the opening lap and tag the moms for the finish, with awards for the top 3 teams.
