The story.

Born and raised in San Bernardino, Marcus grew up watching the bowls of Glen Helen on weekends. He started on a PW50 at four, raced his first amateur national at fourteen, and held a 250 B card for most of his twenties before a knee surgery in 2023 pushed him into Vet B and into running the youth program at his home track. Now you'll find him at the gate every Saturday, helping kids set sag and explaining tear-offs to first-time race parents. He still puts laps down — fast ones, when the track's loamy and his knee's behaving — but the bigger story is the next generation he's coaching through it.
